Lilly Garcia

Photographer.

Stylist.

Visual Artist.

Lilly is a visual artist and photographer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. She holds a B.F.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in photography from the University of Tampa, where she explored a range of mixed media practices including printmaking, collage, and experimental photographic techniques such as salt printing and cyanotype. These early explorations continue to inform her creative approach today.

Specializing in street and film photography, Lilly is drawn to spontaneous, intimate moments that reveal the emotion, rhythm, and rawness of everyday life. For her, street photography and film go hand in hand, both grounded in the act of slowing down, observing, and documenting the overlooked. Her recent work focuses on themes of contrast between fast-paced environments and quiet mundanity, capturing scenes that speak to the individuality of human experience.

Professionally, Lilly has built experience across both artistic and commercial spaces. She interned with Rack Room Shoes, where she contributed to e-commerce and marketing campaigns, and developed a strong eye for product styling and visual storytelling. Her product styling skills led to one of her images being selected for a paid co-op placement with Puma. She has also photographed runway shows at New York Fashion Week, further expanding her versatility and understanding of high-paced, dynamic environments.

Having spent time living in and photographing both the Tampa Bay and Charlotte areas, Lilly continues to document the culture, growth, and character of the places she calls home. She’s currently setting her sights on New York City as her next chapter, excited to engage with its vibrant, creative scene and continue expanding her photographic practice.
